My first “F”: How I missed the first (and second) day of kindergarten

  1. Oh no! But, really, you would not believe the number of moms who make this mistake (so I’ve learned through Twitter, Facebook and real-life). Sometimes we get a date stuck in our heads and it doesn’t matter what the calendar says because we’re so confident that we have our act together. And when I say we, I mean me.

Sounds like you are doing a great job of caring for her and made a really good choice about her school. Have a great year!

  2. Jenn says:

Oh my sweet Jasmine… take it from someone who has known you for MANY years, if there is one phrase I would NEVER use to describe you, it would be “Bad Mom”. In fact, over the years, you have given me so many great examples of how I want to strive to be a better Mom – all based on your parenting.

I promise, in time, you will be able to laugh at this. And after all, isn’t it our job as parents to give a little ammunition to our kids of things they can tease US about in the future? 😉

    Love ya!

  3. Mel says:

Bad mom? NO WAY!!! An incredible mom who does everything she can for her children….YES!

It is no accident that your children are amazing! They have a selfless mom (and dad!) who provide so much love and support that they naturally succeed 🙂 With 2 great parents and a wonderful school with awesome teachers, this won’t phase Lilly a bit!

By the way, I can totally see myself doing the exact same thing in a couple of years!!!

Thanks Mrs. A! Mrs. Severson said the same thing happened up in Northfield, so all is good and I feel not as bad.

  4. WOW – that is some adventure you got. I am just freaking out over my son’s pre-school and refuse to believe that is going to school before my daughter does. Breath… Breath… Breath…
